Kalaripayattu Workshop
What is Kalaripayattu?
Kalaripayatu is known as "the mother of all martial arts". It's origins were recorded in the Dhanurveda, an exposition on warfare, formulated thousands of years ago.
Said to have it's origins from the teachings of sage Parashurama, Kalaripayattu has a strong foundation based on yoga.
Transmitted over thousands of years through the Guru - Shishya Parampara, Kalaripayattu seeks to bring stability and focus in the practitioner's body & mind. Practicing Kalaripayattu increases one’s flexibility and agility, strengthens the muscles and tendons by exercising the body without the need for any equipment.
“Kalari is about becoming a weapon without violence.”—Sadhguru
